None of this is permanent. Life, like the seasons, shifts, evolves and moves on. Cherry blossoms drift settling at my feet; eagles soaring like bold kites against blue skies; songbirds busy at living; chubby buds preparing to burst their delicate petals; daffodils bend and fade while tulips pierce their sword-like bodies from the warming soil bed.

even on an overcast day, its beauty stands out
"This year, I have a feeling, will surprise me.
It's an open field; an empty garden plot,
a shore that the highest tide had left exposed for wandering.
It will be a year for wonder.
A year of finding things, and mapping them;
of following new stars.
A year of germination & cultivation.
A year to fertilize the new bright shoots of possibility
and plans with patience & perseverance." - Christina Rosalie
imagine this with some sunshine
nodding after the rain
soon they will burst, revealing tissue-like petals

May the first blooms of spring make your heart sing. And may those bright shoots of possibility breathe fresh life into your heart.

  1. we don’t have cherry trees here, but we do have an abundance of dogwoods and our azaleas along with the dogwoods have been singing to the world with Spring songs for a couple of weeks now.

don’t you love it when there are enough blossoms to still fill the trees and shrubbery and also litter the ground as if a wedding is about to begin?

    love seeing your Spring!

  2. All things are impermanent
They arise and they pass away.
To live in harmony with this truth
    Brings great happiness.

All the more reason to let beauty and joy soak into our spirits, enjoying and appreciating it while it is here. Lovely photos!

  3. Beautiful blossoms that really fill these mature trees! So many blossom trees I know of are smaller and not so dense. Sometime blossoms (and fall foliage) stand out better on an overcast day. We’ll be seeing blossoms hopefully in the coming weeks.
