“The man is richest whose pleasures are the cheapest.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

(With thanks to Christine, whom I recently discovered, for her inspirational posts — I also found this quote at her site.)

… the Autumn light …

… the amazing world of Mother Nature …

… all things naturally beautiful …

… simple morning coffee on the deck (and a dab of my homemade jam) …

… the way the dawning light streams into our bedroom and the shadows it creates only moments later …

… the company of friends and family;

… easy conversation;

… an interesting story with imaginative turns of phrase and poetic imagery;

… gallery browsing;

… walks along the beach and in the forest.

What about you? What simple pleasures do you enjoy?

  1. Hi Diane. Long time no visit – sorry. How I adore your photography and the way you think. My simple pleasures? Currently, walking the beach and finding treasures, sitting at the beach and watching the waves and birds, exploring, being quiet. Miss you, girlie.
