I’m not a fan of the “about” pages but people (who are they anyway?) say we should have one. Resisting the ubiquitous “about” page, I always thought that reading my posts and viewing my images said a lot about me. If you are new here — WELCOME, by the way! — I’ll add a wee summary of me below but hope you’ll check out my photographs and perhaps read a post or two.
A true Canadian gal, spent my entire life on the Prairies, but long achingly for the sea.
I value family a great deal, true genuine friendships, and dislike gossip and backstabbing more than you can imagine.
An animal lover who has always had dogs and cats, though I cherish my time alone as well. Horses were a huge part of my life for a couple decades and now I admire and photograph them. My husband and I have 3 demanding & spoiled dogs (but we do NOT dress them up like people — that’s going overboard, don’t you think?).
Have won a few major short story writing contests and am smitten with words, turns of phrase, stories, and imagination.

Love the scent of rain, peonies, sweet peas, and early mornings while camping. Miss my dear Mother immensely. Love to travel (but the 3 dogs kind of hamper that desire). Love trips to the city, laughter, and play.
How’s that? Thanks so much for reading this far. That’s barely touched the surface but it’s a part of me.
{And if you were looking for Diane Jarvis, yes that’s me all grown up and with a different surname.}
