Corporate Portraits for Executives, Artists, Authors, Realtors, and Small Business Owners

Reminder to all executives, entrepreneurs, authors, artists, realtors, and small business owners in Grande Prairie and surrounding region. I’ve been running a special on all corporate portrait sessions since the beginning of June. We’re midway through June and there is still time to take advantage of this opportunity with a coupon worth 10% off the regular corporate photo session!

For the person needing publicity or promotional photos, and not just the ubiquitous face staring at the camera. This is a brief session, less than an hour, usually taken in your work environment (but not essential). The price includes three (3) lightly edited, full resolution digital images for you to use in promotional material, book covers, your website, etc.

Contact Diane to book your session today. Although I’m available anytime for portrait sessions, the special offer expires at the end of June so take advantage now.

A Grand Special for Grande Prairie & area :: Custom On Location Photographer

Get a free custom photography session! Yes, the entire $125 session fee is complimentary for this special. You definitely wouldn’t save $125 if you were buying a $300 gas (bbq) grill or a $300 outdoor wicker chair for the patio. The local plumber or yard clean up crew certainly aren’t going to take $125 off their bill, so check this one out.

Instead, pay only for your prints and other photographic products by purchasing a $300 print credit. After your complimentary session, pick your choice of images for any prints or products using your $300 credit. The possibilities are practically endless. You could end up selecting a variety of quality professional prints, add a brag book or two, and something big for your walls! Order whatever your heart desires.

This is a limited offer and based on a first-come, first-served basis to the first three (3) people to book (payment is required to hold your booking). Ideal for individuals, couples, teens, or small families (maximum of 4). So if you live within a 150 km radius of Grande Prairie, Alberta, get in touch and let’s do a fully customized photo session so you can update those outdated photos currently on your walls!

The only fine print: cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion and session must be completed prior to September 2010.

Half Price in 2010 for Digital Packages :: Grande Prairie, AB Custom On-location Photographer

Yes, that’s right. Effective January 1, 2010 all clients receive one half off the regular price of my Digital Packages. Now that spring is upon us and some of you are coming back to enquire about another session, I thought it was an ideal time to remind everyone about the changes that came about on January 1st.

As some of you may know, prior to 2010 I was not offering images in digital form except for low resolution web-ready versions (to share on Facebook, emails, and other web purposes). Since I had serious enquiries about digital options, I listened to my clients requests so my 2010 investment brochure included two different digital packages. Full details are available when you book your session with me but here is what the two digital packages include:

The Prairie Digital

You can print as many copies of these digital files in whatever sizes you please – make lots of copies and give them as gifts! Includes

• Five (5) high resolution digital files with printing release

• 5×7 print for each of the 5 selected images (to demonstrate how they should reproduce)

• One 8×10 print from any of your images (does not have to be one of the 5).

The Blue Sky Digital

You can print as many copies of these digital files in whatever sizes you please – make lots of copies and give them as gifts!

• Eight (8) high resolution digital files with printing release

• 5×7 print for each of the 8 selected images (to demonstrate how they should reproduce)

• One 11×14 Wall Portrait from any of your images, mounted and ready to frame (does not have to be one of the 8).

The great thing, besides offering these two digital packages from now on, is that for the entire year in 2010 you get either of these digital packages at HALF PRICE! Can’t beat that for value. Yes, all year long at half price.

I continue to offer a complimentary web-ready, watermarked copy of every image ordered as a print so you may share it with friends and family either by email or on social networking sites.

NOTE, IF TRYING TO CONTACT ME: I will be in Edmonton from Friday through to Sunday night and will not have access to the Internet. See you on Monday!

Pet Photo Contest

Here it is at long last. The pet contest I’ve been writing about but had to delay until today. Since many of you have waited so long, let’s jump right in and get started. Here’s the scoop.

ELIGIBILITY: Everyone, no matter where you are located. For this contest “pet” shall refer to a Dog, Cat, or Horse.

RULES:  Very few but these are the most important aspects …

  1. The photo MUST have been taken by YOU. No photos taken by anyone other than you.
  2. No photos of pets that are “dressed up” in clothing or accessories (collars or harnesses are allowed). If the article of clothing is for a specific purpose and is a necessity, such as booties on dogs in the snow or ice or a raincoat for a small or thin-haired dog in the rain, those will be allowed. (Reasoning for this rule: I strongly dislike when people dress dogs in clothing and accessories. Dogs do not like it and I consider it bordering on cruelty. It’s my contest and that’s my rule.)
  3. One entry per person.
  4. By submitting a photo for consideration indicates you certify that you adhere to all the rules and eligibility requirements.

HOW TO ENTER:  Send your photo to me by email [ dianeschuller @ gmail . com  -- remove spaces and please check the spelling before sending ]. You MUST include a subject line with the words, “PET CONTEST”. Any email without that subject header may end up in my spam folder and be deleted. Attach your photo to the email and be sure to include the following information in the body of your email: 1) Your name; 2) Your email; 3) where you are located in the world; 4) The name of your pet; 5) A brief (no more than 50 words) description of why you picked this particular photo or why this pet is so meaningful to you.

DEADLINE:  Send your photos with the required information beginning immediately. The contest closes Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 12:00 Midnight MDT. No late entries will be accepted.

SELECTION PROCESS: Once all entries have been received, 5 finalists will be selected. The 5 finalists will be posted on this blog within a few days (this will depend upon my workload at the time). Once the 5 finalists are posted, the public voting will commence. Full instructions on how to submit votes will be outlined with the posting of the finalists. So the winner will be selected by public voting process.

PRIZE:  The winning entry will receive their choice of one of two prizes. No cash prizes or cash equivalents.

  1. Choice One: A custom on-location photo session with me for you and your pet. This includes a full creative session plus one 8×10 of your choice from the session. The session must be booked and held prior to October 1, 2010 and you must be in my service area (Grande Prairie & area, Peace region of Alberta or BC, Edmonton and area). Value: $ 150.
  2. Choice Two:  Two books — Dr. Pitcairn’s New Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs and Cats by Richard H. Pitcairn D.V.M. and Susan Hubble Pitcairn.  PLUS The Power of Positive Dog Training by Pat Miller. Value including shipping costs: $ 52.

That’s it. So now I am really excited to see your photos! Start sending them today. Tell your friends, relatives, and co-workers. Use the “email a friend” link (below and to the right). Spread the word. I’m expecting a wide variety of images from all over the cyber world.

Become a Fan for a Chance to Win

With the winter Olympics still quivering in our systems, what better time to run a contest!  Not too long ago I created a Facebook fan page for my photography business and am working at building the fan base so I don’t have to send out newsletters by email and to better communicate what’s new and upcoming. My current goal is 100 fans. Between today and when the 100th person becomes a fan, every new fan will be entered in a draw. Odds of winning are very high if you see how close we are to 100. At that point, I will have a friend make a random draw for me and the person whose name is drawn will receive one half (1/2) off my session fee for a 2010 booking, and the person referring the winner will win a complimentary session!  Check out Diane Schuller Photography on Facebook to become a fan!

You’re likely wondering if there is a catch. No catch, but the ideal people to refer are those who live in or around Grande Prairie, Alberta or within the Peace River region of northern Alberta since those are the areas I primarily service. (For example:  Beaverlodge, Clairmont, Grovedale, Hythe, LaGlace, Sexsmith, Spirit River, Valhalla, Wembley — you get the idea! Also, since I’m so close, I also service the Dawson Creek, Pouce Coupe, and Tomslake areas of northern BC).

What’s the advantage of being a FB fan? Fans are the first to know about upcoming specials, promotions, contests, model searches, and other news. Also, some of the contests will be strictly for fans-only. Fans don’t get spammed and Facebook does NOT give the business (Diane Schuller Photography) access to the fan’s (you) personal information. Don’t forget that I also do pet and horse (any livestock) photography — that’s how I got started. So be sure to let your friends, family, coworkers know about my services and Facebook fan page. Thanks a bunch!

Please share my Facebook photography fan page with friends, family, and co-workers for your chance to win!

PS: You do not have to live in the area to become a fan but for this particular contest to win the prize you need to be in the area so you can ‘collect’ your winnings!

Good luck everyone — ready, set, go!

A Complimentary 8×10 :: The Lucky Recipients

As some of you know, part way through the year, I implemented a bonus opportunity for my clients with their sneak peeks. At the end of my sneak peek post I add a comment that encourages people to share the post with friends, family, and others so that if a particular sneak peek gets 15 or more comments (from different people), that client receives a complimentary 8×10. I’m thrilled to announce the first ‘winner’ of one of those complimentary 8×10′s. The amazing couple who I photographed last month which was a surprise set up by their daughter-in-law for their 30th anniversary are the fortunate couple.

I’m heading to Edmonton in an hour or so. Enjoy your weekend and your family. ‘See’ you on Monday!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness :: Participating Photographer

dsc_0003

As I was so proud to announce a couple months ago, I am a participating member of Think Pink Photography. It’s an amazing program gathering up photographers to offer free photo sessions and 10 free prints to the brave women and men who are battling breast cancer or who have recently been survivors of breast cancer. October is set aside as breast cancer awareness in both the USA and Canada. I’m taking this opportunity to remind my wonderful readers and clients that I am the only participating photographer in central and northern Alberta. There are no strings attached — this is purely a pink opportunity to help breast cancer patients and survivors to celebrate life and to have something positive to focus on. If you know of anyone in this position, please put them in touch with a Think Pink photographer in their area.
