One of the other bonuses with a custom photographer is the level of quality of your finished boutique products. I’m including the condensed version below of what you can expect from me when you order beautiful boutique products from your custom photo session.

All prints, portraits, canvas gallery wraps, and custom albums are colour corrected, appropriately edited, and are then finished at a Professional lab specifically for professional photographers. All wall portraits are mounted on 2 mm styrene, as they should be, to protect your valuable portrait from creases, folds, or damage and is also intended for long life. I will not compromise quality for a cheaper and inferior final product. My Portrait Collections (in 2010) start from $300, Weddings from $1600 (with a mini-option for small weddings at $500), and an average Portrait Session investment is usually $550 (2010 pricing). This young lad from a photo shoot last week had such a serious look on his face. His profile is so appealing to me, not to mention his super deep brown eyes. With this image where I captured his serious look, I added a tinted haze to the black & white version simply to emphasize that serious moment.

And here are those deep brown eyes.

Look at this darling red haired little boy I had the pleasure of photographing nearly two weeks ago. And here it is St. Patrick’s Day.  :)  Toddler R was so well behaved too. He was an incredibly engaging young fellow. If you met his lovely young parents you would understand why he is so well behaved. What a pleasure capturing him and his newborn brother. Did I say how much I love what I do?

I recently had an excellent opportunity to take some photos of a class of senior high school students during their music class. I love taking photos of teens and sure would LOVE to do some individual senior photos of these (and other) teens. I posted a few at Facebook in the “photos” tab but wanted to share those plus a few more here. I really should do a promotion to obtain more photo shoots with teens, especially some individual senior photo shoots. As you can see, since we were in the classroom, the background is not ideal but I’m still pleased with the results. I hope you enjoy this small sampling from last week.

IMPORTANT NOTE WHEN SELECTING A NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER: Diane does not manipulate babies into convoluted and dangerous positions, nor does she hang babies from nets, or other entirely unnatural and potentially dangerous poses. IF you really want that type of photograph of your newborn, PLEASE be absolutely certain you ask some important questions and that the photographer is a true professional taking photos as described in this article.

As some of you know, part way through the year, I implemented a bonus opportunity for my clients with their sneak peeks. What a wonderful Saturday I enjoyed capturing this couple and their family in Edmonton. It was actually their 10th wedding anniversary and they renewed their wedding vows. What a beautiful and loving couple they are. Oh and two darling boys as well.

Here is a sneak peek of a photo shoot I had the pleasure of doing this past weekend. It was a grand family gathering celebrating three significant family milestones. What a warm family and I felt honoured to be chosen to capture their special day. Have I ever mentioned how much I love what I do?  :)  This first young lady turns 90 in a few months!

This is a lovely traditional Norwegian Wedding Cake, kransekake. As you can see, it’s a work of art and a beautiful tradition.

There was all kinds of food all day long and Bison was a juicy, delectable feature at mealtime (as well as Arctic Char and a huge variety of tasty foods). I took a lot of photos of the details but this, after all, is simply a sneak peek.

This little gal ended up in a lot of images — she loves the camera! Here she poked her head out of an inflatable toy and, looking up at me, was a willing portrait study.
