My mom always said, “Be kind.” She also said that being kind makes you beautiful.

{Those of you who follow me on Twitter will realize this is a duplicate. Since lately there is so much angst on Twitter and I am quite disheartened with Facebook, I’m diverting comments and images I would normally post over there so they’ll be showing up here instead. That means, for however long, these brief postings will be appearing with a lot more frequency on this page. It’s much friendlier and balanced here.}

My mom also would have loved these fragrant and vibrant roses growing outside my front door.

  1. i abandoned my so-called social media years ago. it’s not a social media platform in reality. it’s a place for wicked people and bots to troll and prey on those looking for a social presence online.

    the roses are extraordinary

  2. Beautiful. I have the opposite issue as you. I prefer Facebook to Twitter. I don’t get involved in too much controversy and I just find Twitter more cumbersome.

  3. I share your sentiment regarding FB and social media in general. I’ve even stopped posting on IG. I determined it all made me anxious. Yes, we need more kindness right now.
