{This is the “Silent Sound”. Clicking on her name will tell you more about her.}

Yesterday:  The waves were thick and wild. Made two different batches of spiced nuts (Giada’s Spiced Cocktail nuts and Susan’s Sweet & Spicy Rosemary nuts) — I recommend them both but Giada’s are definitely only for those of us who really like spicy things and the rosemary in Susan’s should definitely be fresh, not dried. Love these for holiday entertaining or for giving as a hostess gift. Delivered some holiday goodies. Then had a lovely evening invited to neighbours down the block for holiday cheer. It was so warm walking back home later in the evening dawdling along enjoying all the beautiful lights.

PS: Remember those amazing postcards I ordered from Moo? Well I ended up ordering 50 greeting cards from them using a variety of my own images. They have now arrived and I absolutely love how they turned out. I’m going to hang on to a few to use myself but the others will end up as gifts. If you’re interested in trying out Moo to order any printed items from your own photos (business cards, cute little mini cards, postcards, stickers, greeting cards, etc.) then use this link to receive a discount. If you do order something, let me know when they arrive because I’d love to see how yours turn out too!

From our cottage by the sea,

Diane

  1. Your quote expresses exactly what I love most about living on a sailboat. We’re not making an expedition in the manner of Silent Sound but our upcoming journey will be adventure enough for us. Counting down the days now to head south and reunite with Windsong II. (I too have been making spiced nuts too and delivering goodies to friends. I love that about this time of year.) Keep on enjoying the season!

  2. Someone else I know is pleased with Moo cards, but I’m holding off til after New Year. Just waaaay too much on right now to sit and sort photos!
    Have a happy time, whatever you do.
