Photographic Art with a Rural Theme

A few images from earlier this year. Since so many of my recent posts are wildlife or horses, I thought I’d shake it up with a little something different although all three are in a rural theme. I hope you enjoy.

For those who are interested in my weekly environment column. Here is a link to where the newspaper posts them after they’ve appeared in the newspaper. As you can guess, my recent columns are all related to Christmas in a variety of different ways. The more you scroll down on that page, the further back are the columns with a diverse range of topics.

You have such a good eye for moving in and recording the detail in a significant way.
These three are good example of that ability. I like how the barbed wire and its wispy addition all line up with the tree line. The corner of this roof with the warped shingles
is a work of art. The placement of the horse collar and a piece of the doorway feels very modern and well done. A very strong post today!

Such exquisite details. When strung together like this..they tell the story of where you live!

Very nice, Diane. (I photographed some horse hair in barbed wire last winter and never used it. I like yours.)

Great photos 🙂 I especially like the first one – who knew barbed wire could look so magical?!
