{We live in the Peace Wapiti region of Alberta, for those who aren’t sure about the reference to the Peace.} I couldn’t resist padding outside this morning to take a few photos of the lovely frost.

I’m not sure where the spiders are, but their home got quite frosty overnight.

  1. These are gorgeous, Diane! I knew the frost would be showing up but didn’t think it would be so soon. I’m spoiled though since it stays pretty warm, but rainy and gray, here.

  2. Oh, my goodness, frost. It’s beautiful, but I don’t want to go back to early winters like that. I was telling our granddaughter this morning how this time of year in Ohio we wore coats. Again, a beautiful image. The frost trim of the leaves is so delicate.

  3. Beautiful! I love these frosty photos! It’s going to be in the 100s here this weekend so it is strange to think about frost just now. Beautiful images.

  4. Stunning images..but I can’t believe you have frost – ALREADY??? Today – on the first official day of autumn..we are experiencing summer heat. A long..long ways from hoar’s frost!

  5. A fine trio of shots. The frost is such en enhancing addition to these leaves. Your compositions always have such a nice balance and make good looking pictures. These are no exception. The last picture has such a nice plane of focus which gives it extra emphasis. No frost of this caliber here yet.

  6. wow … SENSATIONAL images this morning, diane!

and brrrrr, you certainly do have the frost …

i LOVE how the frost has edged the leaves so perfectly …

    perfect, and yes, peaceful …

and yes, perhaps there is some cosmic work happening today …

    this peace day … : )
