Mysterious in Black & White

“The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of true art and true science.” from Albert Einstein’s essay, “The World As I See It”

Both photos taken in February while driving through the Fraser Canyon in B.C.

A love that curving track! Great B&W too.

We drive the Fraser Canyon all the time … though many take the Coquihalla. So much more scenic without as many madcap drivers.

Love the rail road tracks.

These are beautiful black and white images. I like the cloud shrouded tree line and the way the trees slope through the frame. The S curve of the tracks is very attractive too. Fine work.

Diane, you continue to amaze me! I love these photos…and your quote perfectly captures the mystique of mist on the mountains.

You need to put out a ‘coffee table’ book of your art!

Lovely B&W composition of the serpentine tracks through the forest, Diane.

Oh that top image gives me chills, I love driving through the mountains when they are low slung with clouds like that. Beautiful capture.

Just beautiful. Love your vantage point for the tracks snaking their way through the wilderness.
