I love autumn. I love the angle of the light and how warm and golden it is. I take delight in all the colours as the trees begin their entry into winter. My favourite sounds occur at this time of year (the Canada Geese as they prepare to fly south). The smells of autumn are like no other season: sweet yet slightly musty, with an underlying earthy warmth.

I’m thrilled to announce that my website has been drastically IMPROVED! The company I use recognized the problems I was having and offered to let me change from one format to another. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! Not only that, but my clients will find their client viewing area runs more smoothly, is far more efficient, and is simpler to use. What a wonderful autumn day.

Later this morning I head to Grande Prairie since I’m one of the workshop presenters for the Northern Library Conference. My workshop is titled, “Greening the Library.” Tell me (or show me) the signs of autumn where you live.

  1. Gorgeous fall color, Diane. My neighbor’s tree in their backyard is turning beautiful shades of red and yellow…and dropping their leaves in my back yard. 🙂

  2. Those are lovely autumnal shots. I like fall the best, too, even in AZ because it finally cools off. I’m visiting the midwest right now but I must be just a little too early for the leaf-changing. There are some leaves that have changed but not the majority. The skies are gray here, though, so I’m missing sunny AZ. I posted a few autumnal shots taken around Lake Michigan on my blog today.

  3. Wow, that second shot of the leaves is so cool!! It’s feeling a lot like autumn here tonight — the temperature has gone down a lot since yesterday.

You’ve inspired me to look around for some autumn photo ops 🙂

  4. Hi Diane,

Glad to hear (and see) that the web site issue is resolved and improved.

We haven’t had a frost yet so there is not a whole lot of colour here yet … so unusual for this time of year.

We just got back from the coast … it is SO nice to be home. We saw the smoke from 2 big, new fires as we drove home.

Haven’t been blogging much … may get a post up tomorrow!
