Sneak Peek :: Grande Prairie, Alberta Lifestyle Photographer

Here’s a sneak peak from the weekend’s photo shoot with E and her dogs, Shy and Darien.

dsc_0894This is the handsome and very loyal Darien (above)

dsc_1042I found E to be incredibly photogenic and, although this is the only one of her included in the sneak peak, I really liked a lot of the images in which E was with her two dogs.

dsc_0937-2I had a hard time getting images of Shy (she is very friendly and outgoing) keeping still long enough to do some quiet shots. She is Kong crazy!

dsc_0381-2Despite Darien’s age, he sure can whip across the field to get his tire. Notice the dry grass flying.

dsc_0756E sure is a great mom to Shy and Darien. She’s the only person so far who has brought along a backpack of resources that included water and a water bowl for her dogs knowing they’d need a drink during the session. We used barely any of the natural treats I brought along since her dogs were so cooperative and friendly. Thanks for a fun session E!

Fantastic studies of the dogs and of E with them. If you lived nearby I’d invite you over on Sunday, our village curate is having a ‘Pet Service’ at the church opposite my studio. I’m taking some photos for the village magazine, but I’m sure you’d capture some great shots of people and their pets.

It’s undecided which of my cats or hens will represent our household – tabby studio-assistant has told me that under NO circumstance will she attend! So that leaves the ginger one or one or two hens…

Whoops, forgot to update your feed in our blogroll — no wonder we weren’t getting your updates!!

Wow, these photos are AWESOME!!!! Darien is so adorable in the last shot 🙂 And great action shot of the two of them chasing the kong. My action shots always come out as blobby blurs.

You make me want to go out and buy a really good camera and take pictures of everything!!

A wonderful collection of images, Diane. They’re all quite splendid and put together in this one post tell quite a story.

Wow, you really got some great shots. I love how you’ve captured the dogs’ personalities, either being still or in action. And the photo of E with her dogs is wonderful, something I think she’ll treasure. The thing I like is that although the dogs managed to stay still here and there (albeit probably briefly), the photos aren’t “staged” but appear natural.

I’ve told you this before, Diane, but I truly admire your work. Exquisite!
